After a project design review meeting, we have been asked to make a few changes to our design.  In this short video we will address those changes while showing how all the EDGE Solid Solutions tools (P&ID EDGE, Plant EDGE, EDGE BOM & EDGE 360), work together to help us efficiently and accurately manage these changes as well as track the progress using Trax.  From the capture of the markup’s, to the revision of the P&ID, to the updating of the model, to releasing the revised documents, all the steps are briefly covered.  This video brings all of the tools out and shows how they work together to make the process practically fool-proof!

It can easily be argued that P&ID’s are one of the most important documents for equipment assets or a facility.  It is one of the master documents required to be maintained at all times for any PSM facility.  However, it is surprising how many assets out there have either no P&ID’s or the ones that are available are no longer current.  At best this is a major nuisance, at worst, it can be a very serious regulatory compliance and safety liability.  I bet you have seen this situation yourself more times than you may want to admit!  But what you may not know is that IMAGE can help your company rectify this problem.  Watch this short video to see how.

Often people ask why we "waste time" with producing intelligent P&ID's.  The reasons are rather simple.  First of all, they don't take more time in total project time and they also greatly improve our quality and help with Management of Change.  But the thing that many people don't recognize right away is how useful they can be to our customer.  This video shows how our customer can derive greater value and improve their project visibility from a design review standpoint.  Watch the video below to see exactly how!

Dimensions on drawings are critical for fabrication and installation and with today’s CAD programs adding dimensions is quick and easy.  However, it is also very easy to get things crossed up and make a mistake due to having a dimension scale factor set wrong.  Since we tend to rely on the program to handle these tedious details, mistakes often get overlooked in checking.  At best it makes everybody look incompetent, and at worst it can result in major errors.  Maybe even a piece of equipment set in the wrong location…Don’t ask me why I know that!
